MAS-GIS Admission Requirements

In addition to ASU Graduate College standards, prospective students seeking the MAS-GIS degree must

• have successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale).
• submit two letters indicating support from any combination of current/former instructors, supervisors, or professionals currently employed within GIS or a related discipline.
• prepare a formal, written statement regarding relevant academic experience, professional experience, and overall interest in GIS.

Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 can be accepted if they show substantial promise of success based on other criteria.

Application materials for the coming academic year will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until the beginning of the academic year.

International students must satisfy the TOEFL requirement of the Graduate College, or as an alternative, they may enter the MAS-GIS program after completing the ASU American English and Culture Program .
